IN STORES NOW

For those outside of Texas it may be hard to grasp the profound impact DJ Screw has had on hip-hop. Aside from the Geto Boys and a few select rappers who dropped in the 1980's, almost anyone who raps in Texas owes something to DJ Screw and the "Screwed & Chopped" genre of music he created. DJ Screw's vast influence and legendary status is captured in the REL Entertainment, LLC produced Soldiers United 4 Cash DVD, in which DJ Screw tells his story from beginning to end and introduces members of his Screwed Up Click.

Soldiers United For Cash reveals the story of DJ Screw & the Screwed Up Click from beginning to end. It covers everything from how Screw tapes first came to be and how rappers began to flow over his tapes, to what he would like to be remembered for. Unfortunately the main interview with DJ Screw was shot just 2 weeks before his untimely death at age 29. The rappers mentioned by Screw, including Lil' Flip, Z-Ro, Big Moe, Pokey, HAWK, C-Note, and Grace, appear on the DVD and tell their story of how they first met Screw, got on one of his tapes and were later able to sell 100,000's of units independently as a result of association with the Screwed Up Click. There are also freestyles, concerts, and videos, as well as numerous scenes with DJ Screw mixing live in his studio and in concert, all of which give viewers a more comprehensive understanding of the Screwed Up sound and culture.
